Crashing

aim2please · 17 Jul 2026 at 21:50 · permalink

After these last few update game is crashing again. Just reboots my entire PC. Only BF6 is doing this. I have 32gb ram, rtx 4080 and 13700k cpu. Insane. I don't even know what's with this. Can't even remember what i had to do to get it to run and now dead again. Insane.

Last stable nvidia driver for bf6 is 596.49, all the newest ai drivers cause device hung , and other crashes.

crashing for me

Same this was fixed a few months ago and now its back.
Get a freeze then black screen and have to do a restart to get machine up.
9800X3D + 7900 XTX Drivers 26.6.4
I hope they didn't break the previous fix they had for X3D systems.

Same for me but i fixed it myself but trying dozen of different things and in the end limiting my cpu cores. Now that won't work at all.

Sorry to hear you’re running into crashes, and thank you for sharing your PC specs and the driver-related discussion so far.
First, I’d recommend going through our
general troubleshooting guide
and trying any steps you haven’t already tried.
Could you also check Windows Event Viewer around the time of the crash and see if there are any related logs that might provide more insight?
If possible, please also share your
DxDiag report
. Thanks!

Also having this problem on a 4060TI

I'm using an RTX 3060.
According to the Windows Event Viewer, it looked like the crashes might have been related to high power load.
I limited the frame rate in the NVIDIA App to match my monitor's refresh rate, and I also lowered the in-game graphics settings so that VRAM usage stayed around half of the available memory.
Since making these changes, the crashes have become much less frequent and the game has been much more stable.
I'm not sure if this is the actual cause, but these changes significantly improved stability on my system.

Played literally last night, everything is fine. I get on today and the game crashes on "Press Space" intro screen. Enabling Secure Boot again black screen's my PC and can't even go past BIOS. My PC can't even go past BIOS without disabling Secure Boot.

Sorry to hear the issue has continued.
If you can’t attach the report here, please feel free to create a new thread on the EA Forums, upload the file there, and tag me.
In the meantime, have you already tried
verifying your game files
? If not, please try that first.
