Framegen issue on Tsuru Reef

Wolf_Hello_World · 29 Jul 2026 at 03:01 · permalink

With framegen on, i get brief stutter when spawning and also when diving into water..( submerging).. With afterburner on you can see about 5 frame time spikes occur . All ok without frame gen. Any else have this or confirm this?
GPU RTX 4080 Super
Different drivers tried... no change..currently back to 596.49
Just tried Manhatten Bridge map and occurs in the water on that map too..

Well you have Nvidia…. So, you are just going to have to deal with it.
AMD the King of GPUs wouldn’t have such a problem.
Have a great day and goodluck with purchasing your new AMD card! 👍

I guess with the sharp transition in those situations, the Framegen needs a few frames to catch up. Apa, are you seeing similar on AMD at these transitions if you use AFMF? Thanks, EA_Barry.

Hello, I do not use Frame gen, future frame gen, nor AFMF (all different settings), because I don’t like the inout lag it creates.
I get enough FPS anyways.
Have a great day Barry!

I recommend disabling Framegen and using DLSS (4.0 balanced) or XESS (quality or above)

Just wondering if other Nvidia GPU users have this issue... It is easy to check ..just enable framegen and jump and submege in some water... Suspecting this is a game engine issue? Thanks

Not really that easy in this vibe coded video game, changing one setting may just as well screw over 10 other settings and reset all your keybindings.
And everybody has already nearly perfected their craft of settings through hundreds of hours of experimentation and learning.
