Switch from EA to Steam then BF6 keeps crashing

UPDATE:
I can finally play BF6 through Steam. 2 games of Tsuru Reef went smoothly. Here is what I did:
- Roll Adrenalin back to
25.12.1
. Thanks to some suggestions on Reddit.
- Open Steam's BF6 folder, set
bf6.exe
to "Disable fullscreen optimizations" and "Run this program as administrator" in Properties menu/Compatibility tab
- In the same folder find
EAAntiCheat.GameServiceLauncher.exe
then set it to "Run this program as administrator" in Properties menu/Compatibility tab
- Launch
EAAntiCheat.Installer.exe
(Run as administrator) then find
Battlefield 6
in the list, click
Repair
. I'm not totally sure but it seems that this step helps EA Anticheat understand that it must be launched from this folder.
- Launch
EAAntiCheat.GameServiceLauncher.exe
in the same folder, then BF6 is automatically launched too.
- Then Window Security notifies me that it has blocked bf6.exe. Exit bf6 as soon as it reaches main menu. Go to Window Security -> Virus & threat protection -> Manage settings -> Exclusions -> Add or remove exclusions -> Add an exclusion -> Find bf6.exe in Steam's folder then add it.
-----
I installed and played BF6 successfully(*) through EA app.
(*) It was not really a smooth sailing while I had to launch the game by run EAAntiCheat.GameServiceLauncher in the game's folder.
Then I moved to Steam and the game keeps crashing every 5 minutes.
I'm using Adrenalin 26.3.1. The game was running good enough (through EA app) on this version, even with the new Tsuru Reef map, so I suspect that EA Anticheat is the main culprit that stops me from playing through Steam.
I have tried to:
- Run "Verify integrity of game files." on Steam
- Uninstall and reinstall EA Anticheat
- Update to Adrenalin's latest verion (26.6.4) but then the game even worse, such as windows didn't recognize my VGA after restart. So I had to rollback to 26.3.1.
- Add bf6.exe and EA Anticheat to Exploit Protection by doing:
tick Override system settings and set BOTH to Off:
Control flow guard (CFG)
Force randomization for images (Mandatory ASLR)
None of them worked.
Has EA Anticheat messed up my windows kernel so bad that BF6 only accepts EA app now?
Is there any way that helps me play BF6 through Steam smoothly? Please.
My pc's specs:
ROG Strix X670E-I Gaming Wifi bios ver. 3024
Ryzen 9 7900X3D
GSkill Trident Z5 Neo RGB 16Gx2
Sapphire Nitro+ RX 9060 XT
Samsung 990 EVO 1TB (OS) + 990 PRO 2TB (games)
Corsair SF1000
Windows 10 22H2 (OS Build 19045.6466)

Try turning off the Steam in-game overlay.
That is known to cause crashes in games in certain scenarios.

Sorry to hear it didn't work. Can't think of anything else that it may be.

Sorry to hear you’re running into crashes on Steam.
Please try performing a
clean boot
of your PC first. This can help disable background tasks or services that may be interfering with the game.
You can also try capping your frame rate or enabling Vertical Sync (V-Sync) to match your frame rate to your display’s refresh rate. V-Sync can usually be enabled in the game’s graphics settings menu.
If V-Sync is not available in-game, you may be able to enable it through your graphics card control panel. Please check your GPU manufacturer’s support options for more guidance.
If the issue continues after trying these steps, please check Windows Event Viewer for any crash logs from around the time the issue happens. You can also grab and attach your
DxDiag report
. Thanks!
