What is the advantage of the rpkm?

So I'm a support main and I'm trying to get all the lmgs to lvl. 50 (its taking a while). I'm on the rpkm and i just cant really see what its good for? I guess I'm using it more like a longer range gun but i never seem to hit shots or have enough ammo. my drs iar feels like it does so much better at close range too like I'm just not sure where the rpkm fits in. i know that all the lmgs have their place but I cant seem to figure this one out could someone please educate me on the advantages?

it's precisive, very effective at mid and pre-long distances, also I'm recommending to use HP bullets

I've been getting on really well with it at all ranges, especially mid-long... it's a beast!

Pretty accurate for an lmg. Tight spread pattern even at range.
