The game says to go into the BIOS to enable secure boot on my PC, but I don't know how to do that. I'm not a computer technician. Force Electronic Arts to fix that.

To enable Secure Boot on Windows 10, follow these steps:
Open Windows Settings: Go to Update & Security > Recovery and click Restart now.
Access UEFI Firmware Settings: Navigate to Troubleshoot > Advanced options > UEFI Firmware settings and press Restart.
Enter BIOS/UEFI: During startup, press the appropriate key (often F2, F10, or Delete) to enter BIOS/UEFI settings.
Enable Secure Boot: Find the Secure Boot option in the Boot or Security tab and enable it.
SIDE NOTE: Mine said OTHER OS. I had to change in to Windows UEFI OS. There wasn't anything that said "ENABLE Secure Boot".
Save Changes: Press F10 to save changes and exit the BIOS/UEFI.
For specific instructions based on your PC's manufacturer, refer to your manual or support site.

if you have windows 11 it is automatically enabled and is required to start your PC for windows 10 when you start your computer a message will pop up at the beginning telling you to hit for example F2 or Delete to enter bios. From there you go to the Boot section and enable secure boot on the Standard setting then save changes and restart your PC

We really need to stop this rumor. If you have windows 11 it is not required. I have windows 11 on a custom PC secure boot is not enabled by default or required. Just like every operating system windows has had, unless you're getting prebuilt it's not enabled by default. Plenty of PC users get a friend to build them a custom PC this won't be enabled out of the box.

NO.....you have to change it windows FIRST then do BIOS.....you restart windows and change the setting before the reboot.....you change the settings on the motherboard in the reboot and then the PC comes back up with it in and you getting in to OS.....YOU MUST do the restart function in windows FIRST other wise the OS wont come back with the right settings to boot after the motherboard has been changed.....

Check your bios settings and make sure custom boot isn't set to "custom", If it is, windows won't pick it up as enabled and the game will refuse to boot.

what does msinfo32 say?

irpirtirhGOOLD · 30 Jun 2025 at 13:32 · permalink

just ran into this error today. Secure boot is ON in the bios and shows an ACTIVE status. In Windows System Information page (MSINFO) shows Secure Boot - ON... but the game won't launch and saying it's not...
ONLY way I was able to launch the game was to go to the root folder and click on EAAntiCheat.GameServiceLauncher.... that launched the game with no Secure Boot message.
