It literally doesnt matter if its on sale for $0.01. On a normal day, they think a 5 years old online only title is valued at $60. And that is hilarious.

The rule on PCs is old digital games are at MSRP except during sales. You never buy them until they are deeply discounted unless maybe it's brand new and something your want that bad. If you can't wait for a sale on the PC, then you're probably better off buying a used console disc on ebay since those are almost always cheaper than digital game prices.
All of the Battlefield games go on deep discount a few times each year. I got my copy for about $5
