Black screen discovery possible fix for one game

I've found that I can get at least one game play after the following:-
Prior to playing, goto your library for BF2042 and select the manage icon
"The gear Icon"
and then select
"properties"
.
In the properties panel, select
"installed files"
, then select
"Verfiy integrity of game files"
After this is complete it reported found 3 files that were "broken" and it then proceeded to download and replace them.
The game would then run and allow game play for one game only.
Quitting back to Steam, I then verified the integrity of game files again and the same report was given that 3 files were broken
Again after steam re-downloaded the broken files I was able to play again but for one game only.
Third attempt at verifying files integrity and same again 3 files broken.
This time I did not start the game but instead run the integrity check again, this time the files verify without issue.
So, something during game initialisation and play start causes files to become corrupt which is likely the root of the Black Screen event as the anti-cheat is probably kicking us out because the files don't match.
It may be a workaround for some. Its worked the last few times I have tried it.
Good luck.

I installed the game, then loaded it, did NOT start up a battle, and exited, then ran validate files... and it replaced 3 files. So I don't think it's related.

I installed the game, jumped into a game of conquest, no problems. Turned it off, came back, now I can't get in. Game loads to a black screen, then back to menu like everyone else. Thought it was going to be a multiplayer issue, but getting it in solo mode as well.
EDIT
SERVER BROWSER WORKS

Well I've been using this method and its been working for at least one game every time, rarely I've been able to play 2 or 3 games back to back after verifying and starting the game.
Without verifying first its 99% black screen at game start
I didn't expect it to work for everyone least of all cross-platform.

That's possibly the most ridiculous statement I've seen this year.
Of course its their fault, they wrote the software and promptly screwed it up for everyone.
