Every time I search a conquest game I always end up on a dead lobby with 10/64 players waiting to start, I've done that 10x today, same result. Is it ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dead? Earlier today I managed to get a few games but now it's like this. For context I'm playing on EU.
I just installed this game because I'm waiting until end of the month to get BF6, since I quite liked it in the last free trial. But I also had a bit of fun in the few games I played of 2042, not gonna lie. Although BF6 seems superior.
The player base is small, but there are still around 1.5k players on Steam alone, excluding other platforms.
The reason we end up with such lobbies is that the matchmaking is terrible, and there is no server browser to find already populated and good lobbies. Whether this is by design to kill the game or not I don't know, but it I think it's due to the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ matchmaking.
It was the same with Battlefield 6. Many people ended up in bot lobbies for some reason, but I think they improved that in BF6.

Yeah I have a feeling this is the reason as well, removing server browser is by far the dumbest decision the developers have made with this franchise. Good thing that is going away with BF6 in the future update, and hopefully with the next games as well, cause there's no way they didn't learn a lesson here.

Maybe u just play the solo conquest/breaktrough with hard bot ai only, dude.

Unless you think they wanted to kill the game from the very launch day, it is not "designed to kill the game". It is designed by absolute incompetence though. Not even exaggerating if I say I've had issues with poor matchmaking in EU region since at least October 2022.

I played conquest for around 3.5 hours today, always full lobbies and it never took longer than a minute to find a game.

No such thing as "triple A" games anymore, BF went downhill, so did COD. The newer titles are only claiming the status of being good based on the past.
BF2042 inserts bots into lobbies or has been, gave up months ago. Not sure a server browser would help, not a very good game to start.

When I've suggested during BETA that there should be less game modes the fanbois almost ate me alive LMAO. The game should have had 2 game modes - operations & conquest - the only modes that are true battlefield's spirit. Everything else is just draining rescources, quanity over quality and spreading the player base. LEARN IT ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
I only play in a custom BF3 server made with the portal against bots. Just wish real players could see it and join
