biased players without (re-)trying BF2042 as a masterpiece at last

Because not only are those better games, but they also don't require that stupid ass Secure Boot and TPM 2.0 bs.

So people like more to play against CHEATERS than better security ?

Part of it is low-IQ consumers still distraught about 2042 having launched in a very rough state 5 years ago, but they REFUSE to try the heavily improved current version of it because a certain YouTuber or gaming "journalist" repeated '2042 bad' endlessly, however long ago, so it must be true, obviously.
Why bother forming your own opinion (be it positive or negative) when paid shills and influencers can do it for you instead, right?
The other part is probably just people who plainly prefer some of the older titles, and there's nothing wrong with that.

Bf1 is different. Its slower paced , no twitchy movement and sliding. So players like me obviosuly prefers it over any other Battleffield. BFV i never played but i think it plays like a modern shooter but it is set in world war 2 so might appeal to some. BF2042 is a nice game but the playerbase has moved on to bf6 now.

Now I have what, 1300 hours in this game already? Something like that. So it's obvious I find the game entertaining. I keep coming back. I pre-ordered the game and played through the first six months, when the player count dropped from December's first week's 100 000 to April's ~500 concurrent Steam players. Definitely the first and last EA game I'll ever pre-order. I don't think the game is worth even 20€ today.
This game is far from a polished, finished-state-game it should of been before Dice abandoned it. There still are tons of bugs Dice never bothered to fix, even when majority of those were reported on the open Beta before the initial launch. The game lacks any kind of "player-friendly" features which I'm sure they got rid of back in 1 or V already, but doesn't give an excuse for why they couldn't of implemented them back in. Not even talking about server browser, though that could of been really helpful for some of us who constantly get queued into empty lobbies when there are hundreds if not thousands of players online..
But if I were to mention just one very much "not player friendly" decision, it would be the fact that you can get queued into a match that will end within ten seconds. Since there are no consistent lobbies, it just means you watch the loading screen for whatever time it'll take you (that seems to vary, for some it's just a few seconds, for some it's over a minute each time), only to see the end screen for a few seconds and then it's back to a loading screen so you can go back to the start page, and then load into another match so another loading screen. It's really not that hard to add a string of coding within the lines of "if match time less than 1 minute, no new players are added into a lobby".
I don't blame people for not liking this game. No matter what their reasons are. I have enough hours in it that I can say with utmost confidence that 2042 is not your typical Battlefield game. Very cod-like with the faster movement, minimal gun-mechanics and overall feeling. It's like Call of Duty mod for Battlefield. That just means that people who expect a Battlefield game to be like the previous ones are 100% disappointed. And that number is big. It's the majority of the player base.

Yeah for me BF4 was the one and only the glorificated rebirth and Upgrade Battlefield. I tried all BF Titles and for me BF2, BFBC2, BF1943, BF4 are the best oft the best. (Multiplayer) But I was surprised how good BF2042 plays at 2025 with all the fixes it is Better to Play as BF6. Today I tried BF1 & BFV but they dont really catch me … maybe BFV because its good playable and Better to handle (Jump in an Play) than BF1 with its ugly weapon handling and all the gender stuff.
BTW. What u guys trink is the Best Story In a BF title ?

I UNDERSTAND Y BF1 HAS MORE PLAYERS BUT BF5 SHOULDNT THAT GAME IS PURE GARBAGE

Because BF2042 is just a polished toad. Sure they fixed the horrible unplayable release state it was in, but dice still has not fixed day 1 bugs, which should have been fixed long ago. Now there is no hope for those fixes, since they are busy with fixing BF6.

BF6 - play only online with cheaters.
BF2042 u play you way, online or solo with bots to chill out :)

I don't need to 'upgrade' my hardware, you simpleton. There are many, many reasons why you can't or won't have Secure Boot on. Dual boot for example.
Stop being ignorant.

They do actually require TPM and Secure Boot for the Anti-Cheat so
