"BF1 failed to start, Please repair your game installation and try again."

Why does this happen? For context I just redownloaded BF1 after a bit and whenever I start up the game I get hit with that popup. I never had this problem before, I have 10 hours and a few achievements from the first time I played it. I verified the files on steam and it said 3 were missing. Need help!!
