Game not working on AMD GPU

Monc_rer · 16 May 2026 at 10:18 · permalink

It's saying to update my drivers even though I've just done that. It's worked before with this PC. I'm using an RX 9070XT and I think a Ryzen 5 9600 CPU or something like that if that helps

Same here, RX 7900GRE. Game went black screen after you start the mission randomly on a loading screen, and don't let you do anything otherwise of hard reset. First, i thought it was a faulty radeon driver 26.5.1, but after recent updat to 26.5.2 nothing changed. BF 1 still unplayable on AMD radeon graphics cards.

I've just found the solution. The motherboard thing needs to be set to UEFI instead of CSM. That causes it to work. I don't know how, I just pressed random options in the motherboard

Seems to be Amd chipset driver related. BF1 went blackscreen when I first activated a spawnpoint. black screen right then and there. Hard reset had to uninstall and reinstall the amd drivers. Someone else I know with also an AMD processor had a blackscreen and systemcrash with star citizen.

Hey, I had this exact same issue, my computer would blackscreen after 1-2 minutes of launching the game and sitting in menus, not even playing. The crash would completely brick the driver, it seemed to be a driver issue for me as it only occured after I updated graphics driver to 26.5.1/2, I ran DDU/factory reset and rolled back to version 26.3.1 which seems to be stable and the game runs well again
