There are lots of fixes to play this at a decent resolution if not playing through Steam through the game target path but how can you through Steam? Tired of Open GL issues when you try to up the resolution? Surely somebody can update this brilliant old game?
Custom resolution settings can be easily modified in the configuration file:
- Launch the game at least once then close it.
- Go to the game configuration file(s) location.
- Open
etconfig.cfg
with a text editor.
- Change the following lines to set the resolution.
seta r_customaspect "1"
seta r_customheight "XXXX"
(where XXXX is the desired vertical resolution)
seta r_customwidth "XXXX"
(where XXXX is the desired horizontal resolution)
- Change the following line to this value.
seta r_mode "-1"
