Resolution & Aspect Ratio Customization

OBIRBASKOMUTAN · 7 Aug 2022 at 01:53 · permalink

For all the new players out there, If your widescreen resolution isn't in the video options or displaying the game right, you can set your own widescreen resolution by adding the following to the game's launch options. The menu looks bad, but the game play is displayed in the proper aspect ratio.
+r_mode "-1" +r_customwidth "1920" +r_customheight "1080" +cg_fov "100.39" +set com_hunkmegs "768" +r_primitives "2" +vid_restart
You can use 115 or 100.39 for the FOV.

That cuts the display vertically (cropped gun); better run the game with ioRtCW

FOV stands for Field Of View.
FOV is the range of the observable world visible at any given time through the human eye, a camera viewfinder or on a display screen. It refers to the coverage of an entire area rather than a single, fixed focal point. FOV also describes the angle through which a person can see the visible world.
So if you change the FOV from for example, 75 to 100, that means you change the FOV from 75 degrees to a 100 degree angle of view.

For Me The Launch Option Command Does Make The Game Display In 16:9 But Makes There Be These Weird Strands That Are Constantly Having A Seizure.
