I really wanna play but the only servers active seem to be in Europe. I set the filter to only show servers running Legacy and Campaign mode (my favorite), with or without players, and only one of them had a decent ping (of 67). And I tried to join it but it didn't work.
Maybe there's more in just single map modes...never was a big fan of just playing one map and not having the campaign to level up with XP. Idk, where my American and Canadian boys at? Northern Mexico too, come on out!
Yeah same. Honestly I really wish Bethesda would've set up some official servers or something for just the vanilla game. I feel like this Steam release was kinda lazily done.
Original Maps USA XPSave is fun (up to 30 players) but idk how many maps you're looking to play. I'll have a lightly modded server up on the 3rd or 4th, xp save, campaign. Its name will be Olympus, like my INS servers.
Maybe we'll get more new servers in the US with the game on Steam now. Fingers crossed. Maybe ask your favorite streamer to check out the game, boost it a bit. :)
I only really care about the original maps tbh. It's been so long I forget what XPSave does...does it save it across campaigns? So it never resets to 0?
I think some of the F|A servers were hosted in the US and I played on them for a bit then realized that most of the people on those servers weren't even Americans/Canadians and wondered why the hell they are on the server with their high pings just screwing up the enjoyment for those with a low ping. It's doubly strange when most of the player base is European and has plenty of European servers to choose from, yet they decided to join one of the few populated American servers because...?

Yep, that's what it does and it's absolutely unfun for newer players.

That's lame...the XP resets after campaign for a reason lol
