Now, that's interesting.
Enemy Territory: Quake Wars
was taken down from Steam in 2011 due to
ZeniMax
's acquisition
id Software
. To this day, ETQW is still digitally unavailable.
Here is the funny part, the demo of the game is still available on Steam even though the store page is inaccessible. Despite the fact GNU/Linux and Windows demos of the game available on various sites on internet, the fastest and the most reliable place to download the
Windows
demo is still Steam. Besides, it is nice to have the demo in your Steam account.
Here are the steps:

Enable Steam debug console tab.
- Quit the Steam client.
- Right click Steam's desktop icon, Properties
- Add
-console
at the end of Target; do not forget to put a space before it.
Watch on YouTube

Activate the Enemy Territory: Quake Wars demo.
- Launch Steam client.
- Open Console tab and enter following command;
app_license_request 10050

Install the demo.
- Enter the following command in the Console tab.
app_install 10050
Enjoy!

Is there anyway we could get the tools to host demo servers?

Steam provides only demo client. But GNU/Linux and Windows standalone servers for both full game and demo are available at Splash Damage's website:
http://www.splashdamage.com/downloads
Faster mirror:
http://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/misc/ftp.idsoftware.com/idstuff/etqw/
If you set a demo server in Europe, let me know. You are from US though...
Edit: Now, I have just checked SteamDB, ETQW did have "Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars Dedicated Server" but it is not possible to "request license" for it. Other saying; it cannot be activated. Besides, it is not a demo server.

Dude could we get banned for playing this? I mean abilitate console and download a no avaible title

almdkdooqodjcbzb · 5 Dec 2017 at 17:34 · permalink

Nope, you won't get banned for playing demo; what would you give that impression? Steam console is a legit way to use tweaks and shortcuts such as this. You won't find many people on demo version though.

Is there any way or mod or unlock method to play the full game via the steam demo version?

Yes, overwrite the demo version on Steam with full retail version. It works.

As of today, installing the demo via the steamdb link posted by axo in 2017 still works flawlessly.
Demo works very well on Linux.

app_license_request 10010
Demo 2 code:
