Quake Wars Online
was the freemium version of
Enemy Territory: Quake Wars
developed for Korean and Japanese markets. It had fewer maps which were slightly altered versions of vanilla maps with some extra gimmicky modes. Player models were reskinned and there were microtransactions. Tourney mod brought 4 of QWO versions of maps back, you can play them on TAW custom servers.

Nah, QWO was shut down completely long ago, there is no way to download or play it. Considering that it was just a freemium version of the game for Korean and Japanese market, not a big loss. Though, it would be nice to get its assets recovered. If you want to play some QWO versions of vanilla maps, connect TAW EU Custom or TAW NA server to download maps which are Ark, Refinery, Salvage, Sewer.

I've got 2 boxed copies of this game. Such a great game. A remaster or sequel would be nice but I've got the game loaded and it looks great on high everything it just doesn't support big monitors. I used to play on the TAW and Crypt servers. I was up to supreme commander short of a few of the achievements before they pulled the plug on the stats server.
If enough people get coordinated on discord there isn't any reason we couldn't fill a hosted server though.

does bethesda owns quake now or activision? If they make a remaster or reboot who would be making it? I remember it was id software responsible for that on quake 4? Im so confused about that. Anyway who ever makes it please make a reboot of quake wars. Its been very long. They have already done doom & wolfenstein. They should do one of this quake. I dont mean the arcady bs that other quake was. I am talking about a reboot of quake wars. That gameplay was second to none.

oh cool than I do believe they will make ETQW2 some how and soon. Cause they have been making a lot of reboots for a lot of old games like doom and wolfenstein. I hope they do ETQW reboot. cause I didnt like their new free quake arcade one

Doubt it, especially after Champions i doubt they have interest in making more Quake games

this game (well, the demo) was my childhood before i made friends... i hate having to go through google for a good hour just to remmember the name, must have 500+ hours just on the demo (which had only 1 map) but its deleted from my steam library and i cant even check on my list :c
