Such a great game, but

does anyone even play this anymore?
I just re-downloaded steam and I'd love to redownload one of my old favorites if people are still playing it!

If Steam put it back in the store some of us would buy it.

I still play it, anyone willing to have some games with me?

actually alot. but in limited hours of time(depend region). there was also ONLY ONE Ranked TAW server ;) even Jesus and BH giveup. also some mod servers running, like Dusk mod(zombe hardcore(Way more hardcore/demanding, than DayZ, if you need reference ;) mod if you ask/didn't know), alternative mappacks and other stuff. problem was: in three things - nobody want to write standalone or web-based servers browser alternative to rackspace-proveded services, used before, ingame, lack of MORAL confidance and self-respect, courage(to keep play game, basically/atleast) and lack of information about "how to play it nowadays/in present circumstances". also dropping of PB support on most servers imply - unusually higher(than before)cheating threat.

So much wasted potential.

Would you mind linking me to some custom maps ?
I did find these:
http://www.gamefront.com/files/listing/pub2/Enemy_Territory_Quake_Wars/Maps_Levels_Missions/

But any other you would recommend ?
PS: I do own a retail copy of the game, would buy it again if it was available on Steam :(

ewwww TAW, those guys were always such ♥♥♥♥♥ on the servers. anytime I faced them I tbaged the ♥♥♥♥ out of them casue thye were such dbags hahaha
yeah if steam brought this back so many people would buy it even if it was $10-15 its such a good game. maybe ID will make it free sumday. its sad that an amazingly fun game that has such great balance(something few team games can get right let alone an obj based game) is left by the way side because the devs couldn't get on the same page with steam

ZM anounced once, quitely, that they didn't drop QW brand/IP at all, just had not time to do it. so question only "when?" they release sequel/remake/update

Tried the demo version, wanted to give it another try but not available. Oh well have to settle with RTCW: ET then, free and still running;)

wboson: You can get a copy very inexpensively on Amazon depending on where you live (new copy). And to everyone else: Quake Wars is still alive!
