2 Survival Bugs

prosto_Angelinochka · 5 Jun 2026 at 21:10 · permalink

Just a reminder of these two bugs In survival:
1. Upgrading the Panzerfaust a 3rd time (to 3/30) works for 1 shot, then stops working completely via won't reload.
2. Ressurection (regular & pro) doesn't always work - i,e, I have regular and/or pro version for the perk, get killed, and turn "invisible" yet I still get shot at... the only infrequency is the amount of enemies shooting at me while I'm apparantly invisibile - sometimes it's only a few, sometimes its all them... which a lot of the time deems the perk useless, as I'm trapped behind a lot of soldiers and die.
Thank you!

Another thing that I'm seeing are that enemies when stacked, SOME of them do not take damage. I can be standing in front of a pack (with a veil shield) of 8 in the same spot but just 1 or 2 dies, the rest aren't taking damage until an explosive sets them off. I don't know if it has to do with the collision or the death animation, but I can see they're not taking damage at all. Only way to kill a pack that is clipping one inside another is to just make them explode with a panzerfaust or another type of explosive.

This happens as soon as enemies start overlapping. All it takes is two of them. You can see it clearly right at the start, when you can kill a single enemy with just one shot to the head, but as soon as two of them get close to each other, they can easily survive even a whole magazine of headshots.

That is what I mean, single dudes aren't a problem but you can notice inmediately that shots aren't registering when they're overlapping each other, as if the damage gets nullified somehow, just a rocket blast can kill them all inmediately. It looks worse when they¡re all together on narrow halls, which should be easier to deal with, especially with the piercing rounds like the snooper rifle, but it's not the case.

The enemy overlapping immunity has been a problem for quite some time. I'm surprised it hasn't been fixed even now.

Because it isnt that simple. But I can assure you some experiments were done in this field and results were quite good.

I'm sure it isn't simple and I'm sure the experiments are going well. This doesn't happen in the campaign, though, nor in other mods like Enemy Territory Singleplayer or the Dark Army. I only play Survival sporadically, so I haven't been keeping up with the changes, but, from what I've seen, the problem is in the same stage as it was a year ago. Granted, I don't play enough to see everything, but the results you mentioned weren't visible on my end and, by the looks of it, others share similar experiences.

NPC collision was specifically disabled for Survival mode only due to NPC getting stuck issues. Right now I am working on special survival behavior for NPCs in Survival mode that will hopefully will allow me to re enable collision. But there is some things involved I am not ready announce just yet. Its a big one so it will take some time.
