Haven’t touched battlefield 6 since release and it actually makes me sad…

I bought the $100 phantom version, I was genuinely excited… what was advertised was basically battlefield 4 but more modernized & with better graphics… game came out, I played for about two weeks.. hit rank 40 and haven’t played it since.. I don’t think it’s a bad game by any means but I couldn’t push myself to keep playing, it’s definitely leaps ahead of 2042 but the erratic arcade like movement, match speed feeling frantic and rushed, the grindy unlocks and things being locked behind a battlepass system, and the cosmetics & the smaller scale killed it for me relatively quick because EA decided to chase trends. I’m looking back on it and it’s genuinely sad… what was once my absolute favorite FPS franchise has its 3 latest releases sitting in my owned games uninstalled.. i know I’m not the only one judging by the massive player count decline… so I know a lot of you guys feel the same way… the vast majority at least.. do you think we’ll ever see the return to old battlefield? I’d honestly be a happy with a BF3 or 4 remaster at this point… I just want to see my favorite franchise so it’s veteran playerbase a solid instead of constantly fucking us.

I only find the gameplay loop of Battlefield fun for about 1-2 months, then I move onto something else

Nothing wrong with that, it's just no a game I'm going to play for a year+

When the vast majority feels this way, your opinion becomes irrelevant.

Not to mention that when they release a new map, they force you to play it through all the season wich is more like 2 or 3 months

Right because you speak for and are the vast majority, you can empirically, unassailably say that you speak for the vast majority. Loser. Some people have enjoyed the game, some haven’t. So what?

“Vast majority” lmao

Bro it lost 90% of its player count. Went from 750,000 down to 45,000 lmao.. that’s just on steam. So yes, vast majority. That’s fucking pathetic

How would you know it’s improved if you haven’t played lol

It comes back to how cramped the map design is. Old battlefield you could decide to dick around easily if you wanted to. Sometimes it worked like rushing the comm tower when you’re team has opposite spawn point by taking the creek all the way there. It’s what makes Tsuru appealing. Still, I too find myself cycling between this and other games. On the bright side the older titles still have findable matches with some full game lobbies

Hard to take your opinion serious when u haven't played since launch. Only cosmetics are locked behind the BP. And they've released much larger maps since you've played. Playing for 2 weeks almost a year ago and coming with this take is weird.

You bough the ultra premium version of the game and then stopped playing it before its first main update? I hope you have a spouse making financial and life decisions for you
