Can't even start a solo game

Is this an actual joke? It's been like a month or more now and the black screen bug still hasn't been fixed.

It's not just the online queue. I can't start a SOLO lobby. Why? Game already doesn't have many players left, but now I can't even play by myself??? Sometimes starting portal games and quitting, trying again, and repeating a few times lets me get into a game but it seems completely random and usually it just doesn't happen.

This sort of bug doesn't appear out of nowhere. I'm not of the belief that they've created it deliberately, but they are 100% choosing not to fix it for as long as possible. We need someone with a large audience to kick up a fuss and get DICE to actually do something.

I am not going to play BF6 no matter how long this goes on for, with its tiny maps, COD gameplay, and ridiculous price. Maybe if they put it on sale for a couple bucks I might consider it, but otherwise leaving BF2042 in this state isn't achieving anything for anyone.

Sounds like a nightmare. I had a similar issue where the entire game would freeze when pressing start, but reinstalling the launcher fixed it after a few attempts.

You might as well tear the bandaid off and go back to a different series for a while or move on to bf6. 2042 might have been good at the end but most folks will admit it was a dumpster fire regardless of the state of game at release Iwo Jima.

Does it mean you lost? Yeah. We all lost. But go play some golmud and get over it like the rest of us did. The orange has been squeezed.

And in many ways still better than bf6. I miss Falck every time I use medic despite how much I hated hero characters. And Crawfords mini gun, how I miss that thing. Bf6 vehicles are shit and balance is broken as well.

But 2042 was the same way a year after release. It was cinematic how dogs hit it was. But now its your favorite game, and bf6 likely will follow the same path. Its been like this since BF3 lol. Shit release, okay (sometimes great) comeback and then publish the next one.

İf they did acualy fixed this god damn bug the game would be the most played battlefield game at the moment.

Idk man. Even the audio and visuals dont hit the same for me in bf6 as they do in 2042. The explosions, the gunshots, everything feels muted and cartoonish. And there was so much variety in 2042, the different characters and abilities allowed for so many different playstyles and strategies. I wholeheartedly believe that people just dont understand 2042 for its potential and are simply blinded by how bad it was in the beginning.

Bf6 might be better in the future, but idk if it'll ever be better than 2042 or bf1 for me

on PS5 the back to start screen bug seemed to have cleared up (at least yesterday as I checked out breakthrough on one of the huge maps). It's just fun to explore these. I just grabbed the game a few weeks ago on sale.

I believe some sort of network engineer here figured out the bug has to do with a few of the AWS servers EA uses that are denying access.
