B2042 vs B6

Hi everyone!

I recently played B6 during the free access weekend. However, I expected the game to be more linear and enjoyable regarding close combat and free-roaming.

The game's TTK is ridiculously low, and crossing the map for even two seconds means getting killed 99% of the time.

Considering that I enjoy "hero-like systems" and a more futuristic look, should I give B2042 a try, or is it even worse in those aspects?

I am looking for classes that are able to make a real impact, nice gunplay, and less map dispersion. I would like to be able to play for 5 minutes without getting killed, it is not a matter of piling up kills.

Battlefield in general has always been a game favoring camping and quick killing. It’s definitely gonna have that in 2042, but it has a ai mode and some more vehicles

I have both. Was an original preorder for both. BF2042 is better but BF6 is true to battlefield form. Gameplay, gunplay, maps allow for you to stay alive longer on BF2042. BF6 has a longer learning curve, and you have to play with crossplay off if you are on console. This is just my opinion.

2042 was fun, was not expecting it, but the maps are atrocious

BF2042 is much better in terms of map scale, color grading, gameplay, and overall feel. I pre-ordered BF6 and I still check it from time to time to see if it has gotten closer to BF2042’s quality, but it’s still very far off. Whenever I get the chance, I still play BF2042 almost every day.

The only class that make a huge difference would be engineer and medic/support, the other 2 classes just have their own personal flavor like the assault wingsuit which can't have a fun play style if you master the suit, like flying into a pesky tank or AA and plant C4, sadly assault can only carry 2 C4.
If you play 128 server you likely won't survive past 5 minutes if you have a aggressive play style. TTK is higher than BF6, deaths feel fair, I rarely yell out to myself things like "I shot that fucker like 7 times and he shot me like twice, wtf".
You can play "offline" with bots and all you stats count towards unlocking attachments and vehicle upgrades.
Idk, I love 2042, it's the best BF has ever been.
It's worth it.

The launch maps, while reworked, are still mostly weak points in this game. The majority of the post launch maps are pretty good though.

There aren't 128 player matches anymore tho :/

2042 is more fun for me.
BF6 for immersion.

Considering how much bitching the community had about 2042, its fun to see its now looked at fondly

There are on conquest still i think, maybe only on weekends?
