[BO3] Should I get a refund for Black Ops 3?

deadpoolw · 7 Sep 2026 at 16:01 · permalink

I bought Black Ops 3 just today because of Steam sales, but when I launched it, the screen was so big that I couldn't even click on the settings. So I went to Reddit looking for a solution, but then I saw that multiplayer on the Steam version of BO3 is unplayable due to hackers and other idiots. So, I’m asking you: should I get a refund on Steam, or what should I do?

Thanks for the quick and helpful response.

PS: I’ve downloaded that Clean Ops, but after seeing the video by lollipopomg titled "Black Ops 3 is NOT SAFE on PC" and learning that people who had that Clean Ops version via Steam got hacked I’m really hesitant to go through with it.

Look up the Black Ops 3 T3 patch, it's a community patch that fixes the vulnerability

honestly, if you're looking to play for the mp it's best to just refund the game. It's much better to just play the mp on console if you already have one

So should I refunded it?, and do you think steam would refund it?

deadpoolw · 7 Sep 2026 at 16:32 · permalink

and do you think steam will take it (the refund), and another thing that I should give as a reason for the refund

if you have less than 2 hours in the game, steam will 100% give you a refund, if you aren't confident in it though, just say that the game has severe security risks and you do not feel safe playing the game

I'd avoid PC like the plague.

As an aside, if in the future you need to solve a game being too big, often ALT+Enter fullscreens games.

REFUND

Microsoft/Activision don't deserver your money for games they abandoned to extremely dangerous hacks.

If you have less than 2h played, they basically always give you your money back. If you have more than 2h played, bring up how dangerous and vulnerable this infested piece of software is to your system, that usually does the job.
