I just have the praise the BO6 campaign

I don’t know if this is an unpopular opinion or not because I know the hate boner is harder than ever for BO6 right now as a whole, but I’m replaying the campaign right now and I just have to give treyarch credit. This campaign is really good imo.

Gameplay wise, dare I say it might just be the best campaign in COD history. I’d love to hear your thoughts on this and if anyone else agrees with me.

I really enjoyed the BO6 campaign for the most part... then the last mission-ish shat the bed pretty hard story and gameplay wise leaving me with more questions than answers on the subjects it supposedly sought to address like who tf is Pantheon actually, what are their goals, how does their organization work, and wtf has their role been throughout history? We have practically no information on the organization beyond a handful of maybe (?) high ranking members, and no real conclusion to their story.

Which, to be clear, I don't think this invalidates the whole campaign or anything, I just think it holds it back from being the best in franchise history.

I love the campaign, I thought it was great overall except for the ending which seems to be the opinion of the majority of people and it didn't help that the post launch story was abysmal. Also, it wasn't Treyarch who did the campaign, it was Raven Software. Since BOCW, Raven has done the Black Ops campaigns while Treyarch assists them

Only good wz2 era campaign imo

Personally I'd argue the MWII campaign was also good, far from great but a reasonably enjoyable experience, and the MW4 campaign is showing some promise with the beta mission genuinely being pretty damn fun.

Yea people always tell me mw22s campaign but I personally didn't enjoy it and thought it was a huge downgrade from mw19s campaign but I agree mw4s campaign looks promising from what we've seen in the beta and what infinity ward have said about it

I agree it wasn't as good as MW2019's campaign, but I still think it was good. Like, outside of an over reliance on gimmicky vehicle segments and that one stealth mission near the end of the campaign where you're trying to reunite with your squad (though, I have to admit, I enjoyed the Ghost/Soap interplay in that mission), I think the gameplay was a pretty solid action oriented spin on MW2019 with generally more compelling characters, an obviously sky high production value, and a story that seemed like it was going somewhere interesting until MWIII happened and killed all the build up.

Like, as a point of reference, I'd say MW2019's campaign was a lot like RE4, revolutionary, a new direction for the series, and widely considered one of the goats of the series, MWII's by comparison was RE5, not nearly as innovative, takes the new direction its predecessor was taking the series and runs with it hard to a pretty ridiculous place at times, and generally a step down overall but still rather fun to play. MWIII obviously is RE6, but we don't need to talk about that.

That's tbh I didn't hate mw22s campaign up until they blew up a town to capture the villian just to let him go right after also graves betrayal felt forced and done for no reason also I didn't like how they killed graves just to bring him back in post launch story also the main villain is one of the worst in the series imo and the ending felt every anticlimactic and I didn't really like the last mission where they did the alone style thing again

I loved the campaign, across all aspects they made so many great decisions………

They just, dropped the ball so with Case. Like wtf, where’s the lore behind like we had with Bell in BO:CW?

I enjoyed it until it turned into zombies. It made me lose interest in the series as someone who’s bought every black ops game… I miss David Vonderhaar.

BO6 was better than BO7 and I’ll die on that hill. Some skins were annoying but I still jump into a few MP matches every now and then and winning just feels good.

BO6 campaign was great. I never played a second of BO7 campaign after I heard the reviews and saw a few clips.
