RTX 5060 laptop performance improvement?

5060 115 tgp

Ryzen 7 250

1 x 16 gb ddr5

1200p display

Nvidia reflex - on

Texture resolution - normal

Texture filter anisotropic - high

Shader quality - medium

All other settings in low or off

Gpu time is 7-9 and cpu time is 9- 11

I get around 100 - 110 fps using dlss performance (CNN) my gpu power is around 40w at 80+ usage

Anyone with these specs is this normal or are there any improvements to be made?

Also what dlss model and mode should I use?

Dont use texture high
Just use dlss performance low preset. Maybe use textures normal the 2 settings the rest off or low.

Set shaders to low and use the transformer model on balanced, to actually see things..

just follow old jgod settings video, I get around the same frames on my backup laptop with same gpu and cpu. but mine has 2x 8gb sticks of ram

Textures are in normal...its texture filtter anisotropic thats in high
So should i set shader quality also to medium?
And dlss performnace CNN or Transformer?

All the rest low or minimum even shadow specially shadows that take fps.
Dlss test with transformer and then cnn
See the fps difference and decide. Image is better on transformer.

your own times already explain the ceiling: 9-11ms cpu time is roughly 91-111 fps, while 7-9ms gpu time leaves the 5060 with more headroom. so the 40w gpu reading isn't proof the gpu is broken; the game is waiting on the cpu side, and the single 16gb stick is a much bigger clue than texture filtering. changing dlss models won't fix a cpu-time limit because they mainly reduce gpu work. the fork is whether the memory config is holding it back or the laptop is power-limiting the cpu. during the worst dips, does cpu time climb above 11ms while gpu time stays lower?

Gpu time is always 7 now while cpu is still 9-11 sometimes it goes to 13 but thats very rarely...the cpu is always at 40w power draw..is that the limit or can something be done?

that rules the 5060 out even harder: 7ms gpu time is about 143 fps worth of gpu headroom, while 9 to 13ms cpu time is what pins you around 77 to 111. the 40w cpu reading by itself still isn't enough to call it a power limit on a laptop, because boost behavior depends on clocks, temps, and the platform's shared budget. with one 16gb stick and a cpu-side limit, there are a couple branches here and the order matters. i built rankready for exactly this. you send the screenshots and i send back the full order of what is worth changing, what to leave alone, and how to verify the result. totally fine if you'd rather keep going here though, do you want the next test instead?

next test is whether that 40w reading is actually a limit or just normal package power for the load. run one match with hwinfo sensors open and watch the cpu effective clocks plus the thermal or power limit flags when cpu time hits 11 to 13ms. if clocks stay healthy and no limit flag trips, the single-stick memory setup becomes the stronger suspect. what do those readings show during the worst dip?

The cpu time only goes above 11 very rarely and also for a short time...I checked hwinfo the effective clocks were about 2500 no flags were tripped...also i think the max power for this cpu is 53w even though it never hits it
