Ops1/2

I have also beat the og mw1/2/3.

I have to say ops1 and ops2 have a good dark story

Black ops 3 campaign was very psychological and dark if you played through it to the end. What’s your name soldier? Taylor.

W@W, although the Menéndez suicide ending is insanely dark and a good contender for darkest CoD moment

World at war for sure, gruesome and it didn’t make it better that I was in 5th grade playing it lol

BO3 gets pretty dark:

Getting your hands torn off in the prologue.

The whole plot about the CIA's secret experiments that end up destroying Singapore and Taylor's/Dylan Stone's team going insane from the DNI infection after getting sent to cover it up. Out of any CoD, to me this one feels the most like we're playing the bad guy.

Resource wars in Africa that will probably only get worse.

The Multiplayer specialists have been in their wargame simulation for so long it's reduced their personalities to quippy murder machines.

If the original concept for BO4 is still canon, things will only get worse too, with a worldwide epidemic resulting in large parts of human society imploding.
