[COD] What would you say is the best Call of Duty game to purchase for the PS5?

Greeting, I was looking to purchase a Call of Duty game for the PS5, even though I play video games quite often, I’ve surprisingly never played a Call of Duty game in my life. Any recommendations for campaign, multiplayer, or zombies?

Black ops 2 has a great campaign, excellent MP and zombies (especially the DLC maps like origins and mob of the dead)

BO2 and BO2 ports hands down. None of the new stuff today holds a candle in terms of story or multiplayer or Zombies. Maybe BO3 if you’re into that I guess but the franchise was on the decline by then so I wouldn’t start there personally. The MW reboot story is just “alright” and the multiplayer is some of the spazziest jumpiest slidiest sweat festivals you can play if the SBMM puts you in high-ish level lobbies. The ports are the safe bet here. Black Ops Cold War multiplayer was “alright”, but I can’t really remember if the story was good anymore.

Chronologically? You can start with Bo1, Bo2, Bo3. Multiplayer from what I’ve seen is still active. You can also play the original Modern Warfare games but I’m not sure if they’re still active as much. All of these games have good campaigns, multiplayer and story. Overall my first pick in terms of nostalgia, gameplay, story, etc.

If you’re looking for something more modern, I’d recommend the NEWER Modern Warfare series MW19 —> MW3. Cold War is also an okay option.

Bo6/Bo7 are basically modern versions of Bo1/Bo2. You aren’t missing much, but they’ve added alot of stuff that makes or breaks the game from the very first game. Combat is faster and more fluid, but that also means the skill gap is higher. The story for both is questionable at times.

As for the others: Vanguard, WW2, Infinite Warfare, Advanced Warfare? They’re all good but it’s more of a “to each their own”. Not even really sure if they’re active much either. Their campaigns are a hit or miss but they’re fun in their own ways.

I definitely recommend my first option listed above.

I would say Mw3. Even though zombies has an open world aspect to it, it’s still really fun

Either of the recent black ops ports, for me I personally prefer black ops 1 but the second one is also a great choice and a popular one…

I thought MWIII was free on PS Plus.

If the time has passed, I'd probably get Black Ops 7. You've got Zombies, Multiplayer, and Endgame (Campaign finale mode) to give you tons of content for at least another year or two to grind through.

For campaign the newer Modern Warfare 1 and 2 are great.

For multiplayer Black Ops 1 and 2.

In your shoes, I’d go through the classic trilogy first…

CoD4:MW1

MW2

MW3

Then do black ops 1&2 after that, they are all from the 360/ps3 gen basically, but they are all untouchable classics to this day, and the campaigns are incredible, if you just play through first couple missions of MW1, the training (which will apply to every game after too), then the mission on the ship at sea, I’m sure the story and overall experience will hook you, and none of the newer remakes even come close

Greif direkt bei mw4 zu bestell es am besten vor bei MM bekommst sogar mit Steelbook die Beta war mega geilo. Fürs überbrücken würde bo2 reichen 🎮😎
