most cs pros and content creators play on 4:3 stretched because it makes player models look wider and easier to hit. it's a holdover habit from the 1.6 and source days when monitors were 4:3 anyway and now it just feels wrong to them any other way. the fov gets cropped so you lose some peripheral vision but alot of people think the tradeoff is worth it. plus when they record or stream without fixing the aspect ratio in obs it comes out looking like a stretched out mess for everyone else watching.
Many people play in 4:3
because that's how people play, 4:3 resolution stretched to the 16:9 monitor
how stupid people play
literally calling most of the pro's stupid. Great, love it.
yes
Why
deliberately making the game look fucked up is stupid regardless of how good you are at the game
plus you lose peripheral vision and lose shadow info at distance too ,and things are not any easier to hit at all
because a pro did it and they cant think for themselves
Every resolution has its Pros and cons. Dont be such a know it all
Uhm… I do so as well and I can think by myself. Playing 4:3 Since 1.6. First it was simply not possible to Play other ratios and now it has benefits that I dont want to miss. Sure it has its downsides but Cs is basically a Game where u have to get used to. So switching to 16:9 Feels wierd now
