Tf2 chat problem help me.

I have this chat problem in tf2 where i cant see both voicelines and normal chat messages that i send, while i can see what other people type, not only in casual, but also in community servers and a skial server, in the skial server even the skial system messages (usually just talking about fake admins and credits) dont show up (they used to show up before i had this problem). Has anyone had this problem or does anyone know how to fix it. I tried restarting the game but it wont work, checked the settings, nothing happened. How do i fix this its really annoying.

1. Enable mouse input on the scoreboard (Advanced Options > HUD Options > Toggle on "Enable mouse input on the scoreboard", or enter tf_scoreboard_mouse_mode 1 in console)
2. Join a random casual server
3. Right click on an empty player slot and click on "Mute" (wait for a player to leave or find a different server if there aren't any empty slots)
4. Use a voice command or type in chat to see if you can see your own message

easiest way is to join a server, open the main menu (press esc) and find the button that looks like an ear with an x on it.

click it and a menu with all the players in the server listed will pop up. find your name and click it to highlight it, then click unmute.

you can also use console commands.

Ok so i tried the mute player option in the menu but by name doesnt show up, what should i do ;-;

were you in a server when you tried it or were you on the main menu?
