At this point bin off cloud gaming entirely

15 hours a month on ultimate tier is crazy. At this point I think it would be better to just get rid of cloud gaming entirely and divert the costs (that working in the tech industry I know are absolutely insane), into building the brand out. Put money into new IP’s, find studios etc.

I wonder if the cloud gaming community is actually big enough to warrant the amount of money that goes into maintaining it?

4% of game pass users is maybe 1M users. Or about $23M monthly.

MS would be much better off getting rid of them and then reallocating 90% of its cloud servers to Azure.

Whose playing on the cloud anyway? I see it as something you do on a travel trip. You're in your hotel or on a bus. Max 5 hours.

If you're living off the cloud then sure you're fucked but if you're that dedicated get a console/pc.

Hence the 4% of users will be impacted stats Microsoft have said

Does this also count for remote play ? I use that daily at work

XBOX walking everything back. Wouldn't be surprised Gamepass doesn't get entirely axed.

I actually play on the Cloud.

Perhaps not enough to hit 15 hours a month, but I used it a reasonable amount to test out some games, and even played through most of Indiana Jones on my Xbox One before I got my Series S.

Nope. Remote play use your own rig to play. xCloud is way more demanding on their resources.

I'd play on the cloud if the input lag wasn't so terrible

This is also my question. I don’t ever use traditional cloud streaming but remote play from my XSX to my ROG Ally is awesome.

No. Just cloud gaming

My guess is that they will sell extra hours for cheap. The price has to be less than cheapest tier of GeforceNow that has 100 hours cap.

Love a good bin off.
