I played Warzone off and on for a few years up until TPM 2.0 and secure boot were mandated. My rig is decent but too old to support TPM 2.0, yet I don't want or need to upgrade right now, and the ridiculous seeming prices for SSDs, RAM, etc., make me even more hesitant.
That said, have these measures really made a difference?
I'd rarely encounter cheaters back in the day, and being a filthy casual that was not an important factor as I don't do esports or competitive play.
As for cheaters I don't know, but for tpm you can buy a separate TPM module for your motherboard for like 10$ . You really don't need to buy new cpu/ MOBO if it's running fine.
No. Not really . Cronus zen dma and ai tools make your awr age cheat install they CAN detect worthless. Not to mention the hardware spoofing if they do get caught. Can't ban IPs bc most run a database of ips shared to different customers depending on when they turn their router off for a short time or whatever. You get allocated a new one and the old one went to someone else. So yeah. They haven't done a damn thing.
Any streamer is cheating. 💯%. There are very few legitimate known players I gather. I know from my own experience. Playing legit is a nightmare. For higher end lobbies anyway.
Cheating being so rampant made it so I ONLY play Casuals now. I never run into cheaters in those lobbies and enjoy getting 15-25 kills every match and am always in the top 3.
Better than getting 3 kills at best in regulars like the old days.

Playing in potato lobbies? No problem very few cheaters.
Playing in slightly better than average or above lobbies? Loaded with cheating
The recent betas were rife with cheaters and people defending it saying it's not possible the game isn't out yet as if it's not just a matter of changing a few memory address locations in the software

The first 2 seasons with TPM had significantly less cheaters.
When nukes were reintroduced, every cheater under the sun got into the game.
Any streamer is cheating is an absolutely ridiculous statement. Some might and some certainly have been caught doing so, but TONS of those guys are 100% legit and just fantastic players.
