A man accused of killing his live-in partner in Gujarat's Bhavnagar was publicly beaten by police at the same bus stand where the alleged murder took place, triggering questions over police conduct.
Faizal was arrested for allegedly assaulting his 40-year-old live-in partner, Kajal Baraiya, on September 3 following a dispute over a suspected relationship. CCTV footage reportedly captured the assault, during which another man who attempted to intervene was also attacked. Kajal later died from her injuries in hospital.
