Deport. Build the Wall. Score Points. The White House Has an Arcade Now

densmit2000 · 4 Sep 2026 at 19:00 · permalink

The White House has launched Arcade.gov, a collection of five retro-style games based on Trump administration policies. Among them is Rio Run, where players control a character based on border czar Tom Homan, chase migrants along the Rio Grande and send them toward deportation. Build the Wall takes a Tetris-style approach, with players stacking sections of a border wall.

What makes this feel particularly surreal is that the political message isn't just part of the story or presentation it's built into the gameplay itself. Deportation becomes a score-based objective, while building the border wall becomes a challenge to complete.

It's an official White House website turning real-world immigration policy into arcade entertainment. Seeing something this dystopian presented through cheerful retro game mechanics is what makes the whole thing feel less like a normal government campaign and more like something out of Black Mirror.

It is disgusting and deeply horrifying.

There's nothing dystopian about enforcing immigration law. Chasing felons isn't evil. It's kind of weird that it's turned into a video game, yes, but it's far from the most cringe thing the administration has done so far.

Bro, not even south park could come up with something this stupid. How did US citizens voted for this piece of shit? How do a lot of them still believe in him? Completely unreal.

The Smithsonian literally has anti-white propaganda, the White House having an arcade is nothing.

This is the exact type of thing you’d hear in a GTA radio commercial. It’s not satire anymore, it’s reality.

Makes me want to create a game called "CEO Hunt". Basically gamify what happened in NYC on 12/4/2024.

Can't wait till Trump bites it and the Republican party falls apart. The day cannot come any sooner.
