Help me decide if I should get a new PC

Hi everyone. Sorry if this isn't the right place for this.

My current PC is as follows, and handles most games I play at 1440p just fine.

Ryzen 3600

32GB DDR4

3070ti

I don't game nearly as much as I used to. I'm sure I would game more with a new PC, but I kinda don't want to game more. I'm 41 and I try to spend my time doing yoga, exercising, cooking, cleaning, adulting, socializing, etc. Gaming is a huge time sink, that I don't get the same satisfaction out of anymore.

With that said, I'm seeing all these 5080 DLSS5 posts, and prices keep going up and up. I'm getting serious FOMO. I live near a Microcenter and I've been thinking of buying one of their 5080 precons, so I don't have to think or worry about PC upgrades for a good long while.

I'm not made of money, but paying $3k off over a year at 0% interest isn't a problem for me. Tell me oh wise ones of t/pcmasterrace.....what should I do?!?!

DLSS 5 is absolutely not worth the upgrade imo. Your rig is just as fine as is

You kind of answered your own question. You know pricing is going to go up. You are okay with paying the money. While you say you don’t play like you used to, you clearly see the current situation and want to act on it, so I’d just act on it. At least you’ll be able to recoup a good chunk of money immediately selling the 3070ti

Regarding the PC: ya that's what I figure. And with my play time, it's hard to justify

If its at 0% interest, I would say go for it if you don't have the budget to get it all at once. I am personally gonna ride out my 7900XTX until at least the next NVIDIA generation, when DLSS 5.5 or DLSS 6 comes out and improves the performance impact of DLSS 5

Pretty solid machine already. Jumping to DDR5 isn't going to do a whole lot on the gaming front. I'd add a 9060 XT or 5060, and grab a 5600x3d while Mico Center has stock of them.
