How outdated is my PC? I have limited knowledge of computer components and I am considering maybe an upgrade.

I have had the same computer for a long time and I haven't upgraded in close to 10 years due to budget. I am currently in a position to be able to afford a new computer It took me a few days to figure out the hardware of my current computer but I have:

RAM: 16gb DDR3

CPU: Intel I7-4770 3.4GHZ

GPU: Raedon RX 580

Windows 10 OS

I know folks are going to suggest custom building a machine. But I am NOT handy, and do not trust myself with being capable of assembly a PC from purchased individual components. Would prefer a recommendation of a already built machine that I can order from somewhere.

I used to be into PC gaming but I stopped as my computer wasn't able to handle titles starting around 2019-2020 or so. And got bored of older titles. There are about a dozen titles I am looking forward to trying out such as:

Total War Warhammer3 and upcoming Warhammer 40k

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

Dead Space remake

Doom games

Starfield

And more

What's your budget (for just the tower - I'm presuming you already have a decent monitor, keyboard, and mouse)? Preferably give us your budget in your local currency if you're not in the US.

I dont see a budget anywhere. You could also ask your local PC shop or microcenter to build it for you. But right now is also not a great time to buy a PC due to storage and ram prices being insane

I know building a PC can be daunting, but it really is adult legos, especially with the in depth step by step guides people have. As for your parts, yes they are very out dated. RAM alone has moved from DDR3 all the way to DDR5. If you have a Microcenter near by, you should use that and buy one of their in house prebuilt, they are very reasonably priced, but that’s about all the advice I have surrounding those.

You’re on ddr3 and we’re on ddr5 now so quite. I was in the same boat with a fx8320 and gtx760 2gb. Upgraded to a 5600 and 9060xt 16gb and it’s like rocket fuel in comparison

Budget up to $4000. Obviously spending for example 2k and able to play current titles at high graphics is preferred over 2 $4000 machine. Would ideally like something that could most likely handle the upcoming Elder Scrolls 6 though whenever that comes out.

Get atleast any 5th generation Ryzen (like 5600x) and 32GB of ram and buy the most expensive GPU you’re comfortable with

Doom 2016 will run 100% btw, played it back in the day with a rx460
the 580 is even listed for KDC2

I'm not sure about the Warhammer games, but with an extra 16GB of ram, and maybe a slightly newer graphics card, you could run KCD2, Dead Space and Starfield. Source : check my flair, my pc runs all those I've listed, plus Wardogs, BeamNG and 007 First Light. Admittedly not on the best graphics, but playable, and at least 30fps (which is good enough for me, given my pc is less capable than a PS5)

At that budget just buy a solid pre built AM5 machine with at least 9060 XT 16gb.

wtih a 4k budget, you can buy parts then hire a person to assemble it for you. thats what i did

9800x3d cpu

32gb ddr5 ram

5080 or 9070xt

2-3 grand and play anything in 4k 60fps+

Do you have access to Microcenter?

they have "PowerSpec G535 Gaming PC" with a 7500x3d CPU, 9070xt GPU, 32gb ram, and a 1tb SSD for $1700.

It will play every game out at 1440 really well, and will handle most things at 4k.
