My friends and I have been working on Dungeon Settlers for about three years now. The easiest way to describe it is probably “RimWorld meets Darkest Dungeon,” with a stronger emphasis on strategic combat.
Dungeon Settlers blends colony management with dungeon expeditions. You take on the role of an expedition leader tasked with establishing a settlement in a barren land. You must provide food and shelter for your people while assembling parties and sending them into the merciless dungeons below.
Combat is strategic and takes place in real time with pause, where positioning, skill synergies, and careful planning are essential. Every decision matters, as fallen party members are lost permanently.
The exciting news is that we launched into Early Access just a few days ago, on September 4!
I’ve been incredibly busy releasing updates almost every day since launch, but it’s also been rewarding to see the game steadily improve. We still have a long way to go, and I’m confident that Dungeon Settlers will continue to get better over time.
