What small digital problem annoys you every single day or wish someone would fix?

# What small digital problem annoys you every day?

I'm curious about the little things that make using technology more frustrating than it should be.

Not huge problems like cybersecurity or social media addiction. I mean the everyday stuff that makes you think, "Why is this still so inconvenient?"

For example:

* A website making you click through 5 menus to do something simple.
* Having to enter the same information over and over again.
* Losing track of where you saved a file, screenshot, or important message.
* Apps sending notifications you don't actually need.
* A website forgetting your preferences every time you visit.
* Having to switch between multiple apps just to complete one simple task.
* A small feature you wish your phone, computer, or favorite app had.
* A digital task that takes 10 minutes when it should take 10 seconds.

What's one small digital problem you personally deal with regularly that you wish someone would fix?

And if you could solve it, what would your ideal solution look like?

I'm especially interested in problems that could potentially be solved with a simple app, browser extension, website, or small software tool.

No problem is too small. Sometimes the most annoying problems are the ones nobody thinks about.

Google home actually. The voice controls are laughable in the age of Artificial Intelligence.

What has this got to do with gaming?

I don't mind the first "are you sure you want to quit?" out of the pause menu. There's been a couple games I played recently where "quit" (rather than "resume") has been the default option selected on the pause menu (like, if you're using a controller, that's the option that gets selected if you hit A/X without moving anything after pausing) and I would be pissed if I actually got bumped to the main menu without confirmation.

To keep it gaming, more than one logo on starting a game. Even worse if they cant be skipped through

What's even worse is some games are building in checks for ALT+F4 and asking if you really want to exit.

Only having "Yes" and "Remind me later" as options for something I will never want.

Games starting without being able to adjust settings first

I wish we'd adopt a universal standard for mouse / joystick sensitivity, 0-100 for both, everyone uses the same speeds.

100% this. Games that have a dozen unskippable splash screens are a real pain. Always look for tweaks to remove them where possible.

Three button presses instead of two? The fucking nerve.
