Curious how well fireteam-finding actually works

Haven’t played D2 since it first came out, but I’m curious about the matchmaking/LFG culture. For those of you who post here regularly — how often does it actually turn into a decent group? Do certain flairs (Raids/Trials/Clan Recruitment) work better than others, or does it come down more to how detailed the post is / how fast you respond?

Mostly just trying to understand how LFG posts work and what makes one successful.

Thanks

You have to understand that 70% of the player base is not good at the game at all.

And about 25% of them are genuinely not intelligent people and I wonder how they even manage to tie their shoes.

This is to say it’s a mixed bag.

You may end up with super sweaty players,
You may end up with absolute liabilities.

I say this as someone with 1500 raid clears, you can’t predict what kind of players you’re gonna get.

Thanks for the insight. I’m sure sifting through threads trying to find people relatively close to your skill level can be annoying

As somebody who's only made 2 posts here, it's maybe a 1/10 to find somebody you'll actually play with when you make a post. Most people you won't even talk with past the point of adding each other lolol
Just keep chasing, keep trying, you'll get lucky, and find people you can hang out with eventually !

Is it the same across other communities as well? Doesn’t have to be just D2 related if you’ve tried for other games as well.

Basically yeah, I've only ever used Reddit specifically to get people for BL2 besides D2, but even then it usually just led to nothing lol
