In your opinion, what were the last two great American cars to get discontinued?

Must be from the last ten years. I'll start. For me, 2023 Dodge Challenger r/T 5.7 HEMI N/A 6 Speed M/T and 2026 Cadillac CT4-V Black Wing 3.6 V6 Twin Turbo 6 Speed M/T.

The last great American sedan and muscle car or coupe.

What were Detroit thinking? What do you guys think of these two cars?

I picked the 5.7 instead of the HELLCAT because superchargers just ain't it. Not just double the price but also because nobody in their right mind would want their car to sound like 70 year old Robert Plant in heat.

Model S changed the automotive world forever, as much as this sub won’t want to admit it. Ended with a whimper but still a hugely significant car being discontinued

Chevy Bolt / Volt come to mind. I never drove one, but owners seemed to like them a lot.

Sorry to hear about that. How long did you have the car for and how many miles did you put in?

The Ford Fusion.

Not the most exciting car ever made, but you still see them everywhere. Even the older ones, going all the way back to that razor-blade grille era, are still running around.

Ford had a genuine hit on its hands with the Fusion. It was affordable, practical, good-looking, and people actually bought them.

Then Ford did what Ford does best: somehow decided it wasn’t worth continuing. Apparently it’s hard to make money selling normal cars when you cant hide decades of questionable management behind $10,000 of profit on every F-150.

Yeah the sound of the supercharger is bad… sure bud.

I agree with the CT4-V Blackwing.

I'm highly biased since the first car I drove was my dad's 2012 Mondeo(I grew up in Asia), and that was a fantastic sedan which filled its niche well. Although it didn't break any records or anything. It was priced-well, ran well, and a very user-friendly which is all most people need in a car. It's such a shame it and the Fusion got discontinued.
