We should bring back LAN Cafes.

Growing up after arcades started phasing out, LAN cafes hit the scene for a few years in SpoCal. It was like $10/hr or $25 for the day.

They had rows and rows of top end PCs at this one Cafe in an outlet mall next to the food court.

With how expensive hardware is getting us love to see these make a come back. Plus it would be good social interaction for introverts. Meeting people irl who play the same games as you.

I made plenty of friends at the gaming cafes.

Did you try googling "LAN cafe" + your city?

No way it would be those prices today and there’s even less a chance that introverts in 2026 will leave to go play video games in a social setting

I’m old enough to remember LAN parties. I only went to one myself but had plenty of mates active in them. They just vanished about 15 years ago.

What exactly are you doing to help, or does "we" mean "someone else should use their money"?

All are byoPC.

No thanks. I have no desire to leave my house to play video games.

I'll support the business if someone builds it.

it's hard to make them profitable, esp with modern hw costs

I don’t want my login info stolen thanks

Board game cafes have filled the niche nicely

This is very much still a thing in South Korea

$20/session would be super profitable in the right area.
