Omarchy commercial intent

Before using it, you should be aware of a few things why not to use it (my idea of it):

1. Intent of Omarchy could be quite clear of sponsorship. It is going to be sold preinstalled with DELL (DHH) is even developing a separate kernel with XPS optimizations.

I don't see anything criminal in it, tbh. Work should be paid for. And I like how Omarchy looks much more than Windows.

2. But second is:

It's logically possible that Omarchy is going to leverage the purchasing of AI subscriptions and getting profit off it.

If your intent is to excape AI on Windows, here it isn't the place to do so as it is suggested and popularized by all reviewers as one of the core advantages of the distro.

The way AI is implemented presently on Omarchy, it is even more secure and respectful on Windows (it has less access to your system on Windows than on Omarchy)

3. The way Omarchy is implementing distro with various scattered dependencies is not too secure. I presume it is more vulnerable to hacking.

I am not Omarchy hater, but some of the practicies are quite...debatable.

Also DHH is a racist piece of shit, and vaxry, the dev of Hyprland, is a transphobe.

I'm an Omarchy hater. It could be the best, most revolutionary distro in the world, which is definitely is not, and I'd still hate it. I refuse to support people who promote hate that should get them shunned in any decent society.

I mean, you get asked if you want AI or not during the install process. That's a completely fine approach in my opinion. With Windows and Android you don't even get this choice.

I use River-classic, I don’t care for traditional DEs anymore. That’s awesome that Gnome is so explicitly pro lgbtq though.

On technical grounds the distro seems like it catches attention mainly because of pretty wallpapers. I don't think the mouse-less OS ethos is something with wide appeal. Or am I wrong?

It's not a problem if you support racist, sexist, bigoted people. If you aren't a member of a far right group, it should be a problem for you.

The amount of people using Omarchy despite the primary developer being a hate spewing facist bigot who you could easily see working for ICE is beyond me. Every time someone promotes this project I instantly think less of them.
