Windows 11 sucks

prosto_Angelinochka · 7 Sep 2026 at 14:44 · permalink

Hi. I a user of windows 11 for years now can’t get my own pc to respond or update now it’s requesting a clean reinstall because it’s failing to update or work at all. I was wondering if the switch to Linux is really worth it because I now can’t get my own PC to actually function and it’s so corrupted from installing these shitty AI updates that the disk is always 100% usage even though in task manager it’s not, I can’t barely get past the login screen and I can’t get simple apps to load without crashing. I’m so sick and tired of windows now that I’m genuinely thinking of switching. What Linux should I go too and what will actually work unlike Microslop Win Shit 11

Sounds more like a dive failure to be honest.

Again another windows sucks blah blah blah. WE KNOW IT SUCKS.

Go to r/linux ... they hate each other as much as you hate windows.

You have malware on your PC if it's acting up that much.

CachyOS is a pretty good go to. If you want the Windows-esk experience without too much finagling, Zorin is also pretty good.

I’m genuinely wondering how this happens. I’ve run windows for about 6 years now, 0 problems besides the occasional virus. Even then, reinstalling wasn’t that hard

This is not a windows 11 problem.

Well, you won't be able to install as much malware or run as many random scripts and executables on your PC if you switch so that should solve a lot of your problems...

Yeah I might do arch, because I heard good things about it. I tried dual booting it on my laptop (bad idea) and had to go with mint to go ahead and dual boot but I’ll probably run arch as my main on my pc

This honestly sounds more like user error. While i understand most criticisms towards W11. Most issues caused, especially when you type it out like this. It seems like you read some stuff about Windows AI, and ran scripts or things to "remove" it and therefore broke your own install.

But then decided to blame microsoft. I use linux and windows, but i know those were out of my own choice and not because i broke my OS install to oblivion and back.

I don’t know how it happens but this would be my 3rd time reinstalling because it fucked up windows updates
