Do you realise there is an entire battlefield generation who hate battlefield v?

I started playing bfv 5 a few years ago when the game was already finished. It had all the pacific maps and all other updates. I never experienced the first year. I loved it instantly and think its a masterpiece, but a lot of other people ragequit long ago and probably never came back.

And that is kind of sad. EA ended up making such an amazing game in the end, but so many people already abandoned it.

It is the last battlefield with a server browser, persistent servers, and no bots. The last battlefield with true community spirit.

Dude what are you saying? BFV is my favorite battlefield. I clocked 2400 hours, had my best time of my life connecting with my friends everyday during COVID times.

My favorite battlefield. The gunplay is addictively good, movement is smooth, & weapons feel unique. I picked the game up 3 years after release and wish I had picked it up sooner. I’m heartbroken by the cancellation of the eastern front. Sad that there’s fewer and fewer servers since the release of bf6. I’ve seen less of my friends on bfv ;(

This game reignited my passion in shooters, and got 2000 plus hours in it. It's almost perfect and always puts a smile on my face. I also came to it years after it came out and didn't learn about it's rocky launch / bad pr on release until fairly recently. Was speaking to a mate that's a long time bf fan (since 1942) and said he had bad thoughts on it, since he got it on release and didn't play since. So sad as such a good game, people just think of the inaccurate female soldiers and rocky launch even though it ended so amazing and kept a solid playbase for years

Not giving a shit what other people hate is free

Never felt that. Played the shit out of it on Xbox from day one, and even during all the ttk changes and before the Pacific maps and updates there was plenty of full servers to go around and people seemed to genuinely enjoy it.
Currently playing bf6 and forced to play with cross play on otherwise can't get a full lobby. I still like the game but I don't think I'll ever have as much fun as I had playing BFV and all the other BFs that came before.

I’m sure BFV is actually one that people still keep coming back to. Where are you forming this opinion?

If you’re saying not many people play anymore - fine, it’s an eight year old game. Doesn’t mean it’s hated

Last time i played shooters was around 2002 and BFV was my first and basically only to play after that long hiatus and i loved it from the beginning and never understood the screeching.

Atmosphere and gameplay is everything i ever wanted in a game, casually playing after a long shift, hiding in the bushes mellow drunk with a tropical view and sniping at american swine turned out to be utterly relaxing. Or just guiding my fellow noobs when i see an opportunity and turning it onto a positive outcome. Best money ever spent on a game.

1800 hours here and happy that people showed who they really are... it's the last original Dice BF and it's still miles ahead of 2042 and even 6 in destruction, movement, gunplay and atmosphere. But hey, the trailer included women so it must be shit..

My favourite Battlefield as well, but the game was launched in an underbaked state with too few maps, issues and missing campaign chapters and very limited customisation.

Their Battle Royale mode devoured a significant amount of resources as well, complete waste.

I can’t find a server in Australia to play. Was fun while it lasted.

I quit because of how many hackers.

It was insane. Every single game had a hacker in it. I'm not exaggerating. I had to look for myself, it was dumb stupid easy to find and use hacks. I quit immediately.

Wait brother you’re referring to BF Vietnam the original? 2002? That was a classic indeed

Yes, but this one only a few sessions. My main memories are from CS, MoH and RTCW so it was a huge jump getting back into it.
