Yes, i've read the threads, baiting, waiting for smoking ships, they must crash in the plane etc etc
the bots don't work anymore for the challenge, and everyone knows how to go low, till their flairs recharge, or jump out of their plane/heli etc etc
What can i do?!

It is a terrible dumb achievement to advance. If they take away all the easy ways to get it, then why it there.
But we are talking about pretty low IQ devs with this game.
I eventually got this on Tsaru Reef by exclusively targeting blackhawks. But it took me ages.
Did they actually change it so it doesn’t count at all with bots? I only just completed it recently at last and did it by playing on a server with bots.
The challenge is such a cruel joke given how absolutely worthless the Igla is. It’s absolutely trivial for any pilots to avoid getting hit by it even just once, and then it inexplicably takes multiple to actually destroy something anyways.
I love using the igla. Get one of your useless sniper teammates to pull out the laser designator. Now you can lock on better. Go get some revenge. Find an ammo box, get a support player in your squad, or just respawn.
The part that seemed so extra stupid about it to me is needing to complete that bullshit to unlock completely unrelated equipment for other classes.

chatgpt told me it bots don't work anymore, so i dunno. I joined a portal served and put down a couple helis and still stuck at the same score - so i assume that's true
My strategy:
- Have your friend go medic with the AA tank and provide medical bags on the ground next to it to keep you restocked.
- You go engineer with IGLA and ride on the back of the tank to fix the tank and also supplement AA.
Your friend will trigger the flares with the tank missiles, and you can finish the job with the IGLA.

which server was it - anything's worth a shot
This is how I did the challenge, get 2 friends who play bf6, have one be support and they have the mobile AA and the other to keep enemy players away from the aa ,make sure there's an ammo crate thrown onto the ground and load up the igla's missiles, then have the friend in the aa to lock onto the helis fire a missle then when it flares ,use the igla as soon as the flares dissipate, repeat. Hope this helps

Igla is still pretty good against the little bird. Sometimes you get lucky.
Liberation Peak. What makes this map a standout for Heli’s is the weakness for pilots. The map is small and keeps planes in lock on much longer and quicker. Make sure your specialty is the one that gives you four rockets. First shot they flair, second shot is damage or kill. Once all rockets are gone re-deploy.
I was able to compete this challenge from start to finish in approx. 10min.
