BF6 is so much more refreshing compared to COD

I’ve been playing MW3 to scratch that FPS itch but I swear, I’ll take this over COD any day. The maps are so much better (apart from New Sobek), the weapons actually feel like they have recoil and you have to compensate for it and games aren’t a complete sweat fest

In COD, I have to deal with wanna be pros who think they’re talented because they only use hard meta and can’t get a kill without tweaking like a Flamingo on Ritalin - I can just go into casual breakthrough and go 53-11 (yea, OK it’s against bots, but still gives a dope hit)

Not that there aren’t still problems - 3d spotting is bullshit, RPGs are too weak and no one focuses tanks, which are still overpowered imo, but I’ll take this over COD any day

BTW, I’m coming back after leaving mid-way through season 2 and need to unlock the PP19, I’m working my way through the catch-up challenges and I need to destroy enemy gadgets - is there a reliable way to get this done? Just need 4 more

This is not me complaining about COD, I’ve had great memories playing it but the franchise has just changed too much to be something it was never meant to be

I recommend using the recon drone to destroy enemy equipment. You can destroy stuff from afar while also spotting the enemy.

New Sobek gets shit on deservingly because of the conquest layout, but breakthrough is so fun it’s my favorite! It plays much better than conquest on that map.

They overcompensated but RPGs needed a balance adjustment, at launch they were much more on the overpowered side

I feel like Call of Duty got a ton of success simply because it had no real competition for the longest time.

Battlefield 6 is a major step in the right direction. It feels almost exactly like BF3/4.. which is a great thing for me. Between that, Arc Raiders, and so many games coming out this year.. I have ZERO interest in Call of Duty.

From everything I'm hearing about MW4 it's just the same recycled game again anyways.

As long as I have alternatives like BF, I'll really never touch COD. I don't see the point.

None of my friends want to play with me because I'm good and get placed in hardcore lobbies where the whole enemy team is equal to or better than me while my friends are raging going 5-10.

Even if you aren't good at killing people, you can still be useful in Battlefield just by playing the objective, placing a spawn beacon, healing your teammates. There's so many more ways to feel useful and accomplished. You don't have to get good at pre-aiming every single corner you turn around, bunny hopping around corners, etc.

They are still fixing it in season 5, right?

It’s not even the map, it’ the rooftop camping recons. All they’d need to do is ether restrict access to certain roofs or add zip lines

The matchmaking is BF6’s biggest weakness. Hopefully server browser and auto balancing teams will help with that.

I could live with weakened RPGs if my teammates would help me focus a tank

Yea, that’s really the only thing. But at least there is hope on the horizon. You can’t have SBMM (or EOMM or whatever the hell it is) with persistent servers you can join at anytime

The best way to destroy gadgets with the Suppression Device is Hagental Breakthrough. Hug walls close to chokepoints and there will literally be dozens of grenade interceptors, motion sensors, and respawn beacons

I've been watching the review videos for the new MW beta and its not looking good. Already has a "mixed" review on steam and its not even an open beta, its a closed beta for people that already prepurchased the game. If pre-orders are already pissed at it thats not a great sign

I feel like COD’s main success (at least historically) was Activision’s massive advertising budget, that and (again, historically) it could be played at a casual pace. Now, it feels like you have to snort Adderall, have a top of the line gaming monitor and be balls deep in it and sound whore everything. It never used to be like this

I really think they shot themself in the foot from removing it from GamePass, like I don’t really mind playing COD, but I don’t want to spend any money on it, and I definitely don’t want to pay $70 for it

I played the OG MW2 and Black Ops. Back then it felt more casual.

When I picked the series back up for BO4.. it was insane.

Yea, me too. I was OG MW2, MW3 and BO2 - I think after they added the jet packs, it al went downhill from there
