¿Should I buy Battlefield 6?

I understand the question might be a bit ambiguous, but let me clarify: I've played Call of Duty my whole life, but when I get tired of all the frenetic action and arcade-style matches, I jump into Battlefield 1 to really feel like I'm in a war. I had the chance to play the Battlefield 6 beta, and I was captivated; I was completely enamored. The realism, the feeling of being a medic in a war, that every explosion mattered. It didn't matter how many kills you got, just surviving.

For financial reasons, I didn't buy the game back then, but now, some time later, I have the money. The problem is that I've seen recent videos on YouTube, and it seems like the game has become just another Call of Duty with bigger maps. Correct me if I'm wrong, but all I see are people sliding around with the POV at full blast, people who don't care about the experience, only about getting kills.

Is that what the game is like today? Or is it still a more realistic game like it was in the beta? I'm not asking in a bad way... I'm asking because if I want to play something frantic like that, I'd rather just go for Call of Duty.

Basically, can I still feel like a doctor whose sole objective is to survive and help others, or would I be completely out of sync with the gameplay?

I don't see the need to criticize before reading the whole post. I'm saying I want to buy Battlefield 6 so I feel like I'm playing Battlefield and not Call of Duty.

Bro, you literally admitted you didn't read my post. That's exactly what I'm trying to avoid; I was asking if Battlefield 6 is full of those players

FunnyFoxShow · 4 Sep 2026 at 03:13 · permalink

No. Save your money.

I pay no mind to rage baiters, if you feel like buying it, go ahead, the game has gotten good after recent updates.

I been playing battlefield for about 20 years since BF2, and enjoyed it for many of the reasons you stated, I started my fps life with counterstrike.

Eventually I fell in love with flying that stupid attack helicopter and it’s basically my form of adult meditation.

The experience of piloting through a full conquest map keeping tabs of so many things going on while executing technically and strategically just doesn’t really get old for me, at least at the levels I play with an actual life work kids etc.

I’d ignore the trolls here. There was a post recently asking if this game will be around for a while and the overwhelming consensus is that it will likely be running for 5 if not 10 years based on previous titles longevity.

Good luck 🍀

Too many reasons to count. You’ll have fun then you’ll get even more bored than COD. What you’re describing is not what BF6 is like. Go play a better milsim like game for that. Watered down COD with mainly bot lobbies, no 64v64, very inconsistent gunplay, medics don’t revive, engineers don’t take out tanks, half your players doesn’t realize the red dots on the map are enemies and the other half don’t realize you have to be on an objective to capture it.
