I'm dying left and right as a new player, will appreciate inputs.

So I just started playing this game and I'm dying A LOT. I play on this Asian servers that's generally populated with 128 players and I'm on xbox with crossplay on. Ping is 70.

The problem isn't I'm dying a lot, it's natural in a new game with other players. It's that I feel I'm not getting any better AT ALL. I played RedSec and after a few days I could atleast understand what to do.

Here I feel I'm unable to find the right covers, not able to get the right scope, idk man.

How do I get into this game? There's also no story mode to help me with the mechanics. I tried a few servers with like 2 people and rest bots and I am pretty good at killing bots, should I stick to that in the beginning? It feels very boring.

Get familiar with the maps and classes and stay with your unit I've learned good spots or techniques just from staying with a experienced unit

My best advice as lvl s800 ,2042 is use blasco asap as soon as you unlock her , she is op sniper , pair her with NTW 50 cal (iron sights) sniper , take pots shots at vechiles when there low health , also play sneaky aggresive , she has a op tugs and a spawn beacon , also she doesnt trigger enemy tugs or claymores pretty much invisible , take throwing knifes also as grenade slot , they are all one shot kipls pretty much . Also bf6 is hella fun and it also has a campaign which is ok tbh for lore etc , season 3 starts next week would be a good time to start , theres still quite alot low level players and ppl figuring out maps etc , also it is fun , see ya on the bf soldat

Play Breakthrough as it offers focused action where you know the danger is mostly from one direction. That will gradually allow you to get enough practice to pick up the mechanics more easily.

So how is joining when a new season start an advantage? Will it make learning easier? It'll probably be nice to be in a group where everyone is just figuring out the map lol.

Ye exactly this map knowledge an placement in BF can make it so much more enjoyable also easier, golmund is a remake for s3 , but there is plenty more cover which imo is perfect , also the game does look really good on xbox x

Your first mistake is playing on the Asian servers

See this is why I included that detail, but European servers will have 100 ping.

Anyway the names aren't asian so idk if this is the problem for sure...

Play with bots first. Gets some kills until you upgrade your guns. Remember that a good offense translates to a good defense.

There's a lot of variety with each of the classes/operators in 2042, much more so than Redsec.

You might just need to try and find one that works best for you. Personally, I found playing as Paik and taking her information gathering abilities to the maximum with the throw-able proximity sensor and holding/defending a couple of points worked best.

New seasons tends to attract new players as well as old one who didn't care to spend that much time on the game until new content arrives, so you'll be more likely to be in matches with a ton of other people who don't really know how to play or haven't learned the maps.

The guy's advice to go in with a NTW 50 with iron sights is awful though, don't do it. That's a very specialized loadout that requires a specific approach to optimize, it will fuck you over for firefights against more than one player as well as inhibit your ability to learn recoil control and threat management.

Bots will help you get familiar with maps and mechanics, but you (mostly) won’t get “good” at the game playing bots. The skill gap between average players and bots is pretty wide.

Play BreakThrough, that helped me get better. It’s pretty beginner friendly because you have a general idea where the other team is coming from. But you’re also playing a game that has been out for years, so be patient. Stick with it. Try and learn from your mistakes.
