Hello, was wondering now that Bf6 is at the lowest price it's ever been (-50%). Is it worth buying compared to BF4? Main concern is bots

Hello, I'm still playing BF4 daily but Bf6 looks to be in a much better state. For people who play both what would be your feedback ? Should I give it a shot ?

My biggest concern is bots. I can't stand the fact that they populated the servers with bots and it's the main reason I'm hesitating buying it. Are there a lot of bots ? Any way to have no bots ?

Thank you for your feedback!

Idk where people are seeing so many bots. I’m central US and the only time I see bots is when they fill the server at the very beginning of a 64-player match, or in casual breakthrough.

If you liked bf4, you’ll probably like 6.

Bf6 is pretty fun imo

It seems to be developing just fine. Still a lot of work to do, but it feels closer to bf4 than any other title since

BF4 was my franchise intro and I honestly played for years and didn’t buy another battlefield title until 2042 was basically dead and only like $5 or something. Then bought BF6 a little into season 2 and have loved it. Reminds me a lot of bf4 but new guns and maps. A little different gameplay. But I’ve enjoyed it a lot. I’d buy it if I were you and wanted to play some updated battlefield

I deleted bf6 on Friday as I had enough of bots, being sniped from across the map with someone with an smg, being thrown into servers with ridiculous high ping. Back on bf4.

Crossplay on or off?

Skill issue.

I cant play 6 its too twitchy. I need adderal to even play it. Just isn't fun sweating it out against bots at 200 percent play speed

With crossplay off you’ll be in bot lobbies a lot. Bf6 is no where near as good as bf4 if ur comparing gameplay. Bf6 feels nothing like battlefield. It’s just 2042 with a more grounded military aesthetic. It’s not even as visually grounded as bf4 tho.

Played like 100-200hrs of BF6 (not much in the last year though) and I've only seen a few bots when there's a new round starting and not everyone's ready yet. The missing server browser is the key aspect why I've had thousands of hours in BF3 and BF4 but lost my interest in BF6.

You can set filters like maps and game modes but you can not specifically join a server that features only one map for example. Or join a server with few or many tickets. In BF6, every round takes about 30 minutes with the same ticket amount. You can join a specific map and the next round can be on a map that you've explicitly excluded in your initial search. This often results in me quitting after a single round. Absolutely annoying and mind boggling that EA chooses to skip a feature that is so often requested and asked for by so many players.

Hey, i also picked the game up for 50% at the summer sale and have been quite happy! I've played bf4 and bf1 at launch with a bit of 5 too. Im playing in EU and i havent seen A SINGLE bot since ive picked up BF6, or if i have killed one its so rare i havent even noticed. I usually dont play well into the morning hours bar a few times though.

As for the gameplay in comparison to bf4 – you will notice that the pacing is faster and leaves less room for planning and adjusting, that being said the only map that is constant chaos for me is this game's operation locker "Hagental Base", the rest whilst encouraging faster gameplay have plenty of flank routes and objectives to avoid it being an outright onslaught. I somehow have a feeling you will miss the verticality of bf4 too, many maps dont even have buildings over 2 stories high, so youre left with either a street to street - room to room gameplay loop or a flat/hilly sniper's paradise type of map.

This game also lacks the flashy and risky design decisions bf4 had - you will not see levolutions or experimental weapons or floating tanks, or even the interactive gimmicks 4 had, it will just be a shooter, something you have seen before, but modernized. But since youve stuck around for bf4 until now i will automatically assume that is not what keeps you around for a game.

Another thing is vehicles in this game - id say they are much weaker, but that is not necessarily a bad thing. The tanks can be taken down easier by engies, though engi seems to have been nerfed a tad now, the helis are made of paper, but are still deadly in the right hands and the jets (even though i dont play them) seem to have the constant issue of not enough space to maneuver. That being said you will still find players who can DOMINATE in any one of these given categories and you will routinely see a vehicle player topping the scoreboard after each game, whilst still giving infantry a fighting chance against them. The fact that only 2 classes really have the means to combat vehicles well in this game helps alot too. I mainly play infantry so im ofcourse biased, but in this game all vehicles have to really be smart with positioning and awareness and i love that about both fighting and using them, the fact that vehicles are still top performers most rounds i think compliments my point.

Overall i would say try it! Its a different game for a different time, but the experience is still worth it, especially for the discounted price. The only thing i'd worry about is EA's corporate side and their management of employees/monetization.

It’s absolutely worth $30, despite my main many gripes with the game, I don’t regret buying it for $60

I’ve personally been enjoying the game a decent bit. It does take some getting used to as it doesn’t really play like BF4 or BF1 which are the two I’m most familiar with.

Nope Im 46 started with the 1st battlefield. 2/3 were epic frostbite engine put bf4 at peak battlefield moments checking battlelog to running commander from iPad while at work. Expansions were epic china rising naval strike etc. battlefield 5 was 50/50 then bf1 was beautiful. Hardline was a let down. And this game BF6 is just OFF the skill level doesn’t exist as you can always easily feel the unbalance of power between teams. I’ve never seen so many vet players complaining about shots on target or time to kill.
