So, I turned cross play off and am happier overall.

I turned it off about a week ago (Xbox) and I have to say, it's better for me.

\- The ttk is noticeably different when I'm on the receiving end which gives me a little more of a chance.

\- the matches seem a little more balanced. Not perfect but better.

\- I went from .84 to .89 k/d within that week with no change to how I play.

The only downside is what I expected and that's the wait time in lobbies. I'm in the eastern US and most of the time, I play the early morning hours during the week. If it's bad enough I can always play casual breakthrough which is fine. Unless I get desperate, I have no intention of turning it back on.

Must be nice, as a PC player I would give almost anything to not have to play with the console players.

Glad that works out for you. I've played on pc for a few years now but even when I was on console, never had a problem going against pc players, even on cod

Why? My PC allows both mouse and keyboard and controller

Is it low sodium?

Apparently it's more of a compatibility issue that affects netcode when players from several platforms play together.

As if some info got lost in translation when going from one platform to another, so the server doesn't accurately represents what's happening.

But I don't know if this has been confirmed/proven or not.

It's nice till it hits midnight on the west cosst and it can start taking 10-20 mins to find a semi populated game.

Are you mostly playing bot filled lobbies? I am US central and play a lot of early hours as well. I would prefer crossplay off, but it feels like i have to keep it on, or else I am basically playing casual mode. But I havent tried it enough to have good sample size.

I dont mind wait times for game start.

Do you want us to clap for you

Yeah, I turned it off last night and the difference is day and night.
I wonder why the connection is so atrocious with cross play but I played like 2 games with crossplay off so maybe it was just luck

Yup this.

For example: Console player facing the other way shooting, I come up behind thinking I have the jump. I die instantly as console player shoots out their backend, then a delayed turn around that doesn't happen until I'm dead....so they were probably facing me on their side, but to me it looked like I had the jump

Lots of just weird crap happens with them, mostly animation/delay related.

I’m on PS5 and I always run crossplay because if I don’t, the PS only lobbies are usually very slow to fill up. With crossplay that’s not an issue

I usually play between 7:00am - 9:00 am EST so it is difficult at times. I feel ya.

It depends on the time. I typically play 7:00-9:00am EST weekdays and there are bots but weekends at that time or later are typically other console players. It depends on what mode or map also. I can typically get a full non bot lobby on Wake Island for about any mode but if I jump to say, Escalation, it's hit or miss.

I'm fine either way.
