Since the cosmetics shift is probably financially driven, BF PRO should include an option to enable default skins for other players

At this point I wouldn't even be mad having to pay for it

Why people who bought basic edition should suffer? Give that "disable goofy skins" option to everyone, for sure, leave it off by default. That'll be fair and up to advertisement

Tbh if this could ever happen, it would've already

Seeing skins incentivizes people to put more money in the game, that's why tying it to BF PRO (which is a trimestrial subscription) is a more feasible option IMO

Never will happen. People pay for skins because other people can see them.

Yeah - it’s the same reason I shit with the door open and fan off. The only reason I even shit is because it inconveniences someone else.

You're asking to pay to fix a problem they created. You realize how sad this is?

dancinggirl003 · 3 Sep 2026 at 13:42 · permalink

This horrible shit is permeating through every part of everything we do in society. No longer is it about what you do, it's about how you look and it's destroying everything.

I'm a old fart, and I'm trying very much to be aware of my having 'not as good in my dayitus.'

But everything is just shit these days.

Old fart, out.

Their shills are literally posting that theyre going to pay for the skins specifically to “piss off” the actual fans of the game

We've officially reached the "Bargaining" stage of grief.

Redemption5220 · 3 Sep 2026 at 14:06 · permalink

But also paying for not seeing them might just be a "genius money making scheme" for EA

Should be an option in the settings menu, no need to pay for it

So many other games do this, even free 2 play games like World of Warships where WG succ all the money they can from whales with garish skins, you get option there to turn off different category of skins = everyone is happy

Dice can make it a simple toggle, or have it work on a deeper level (like turn off specific skins etc) it is well within their power and I bet it would be easy to do given the existing skin options

This should've been in the game from the start regardless of the ass skins that Dice release, the beta received a lot of positive feedback from each team having a distinct visual style (forbidden technology I know) which soon went out the fucking window

It's sad yes, but it's obviously not a problem for everyone otherwise we wouldn't see these skins

I see it like this: people who pay for skins don't buy the grounded military ones, people who wouldn't pay want the uniformity that we had back in beta, and EA wants continuous revenue hence the live service model

Linking that option to BF pro means more people buy it and get what they want, and those who don't care well, don't

Been there since bfv

I see what you're saying but I just can't accept to pay for a setting in a video game. It's going way too far.
