Bf has always been a bit sci fi

This is regarding the dead space skins and the dead space battle pick up. Although it is a bit annoying as it is not as grounded as the game could be I don’t think its totally out of the question in the bf franchise. This is mostly going of bf4 which had in one of its dlcs a large amount of futuristic tech. These include railguns and hover tanks. If you are annoyed at the dead space skins ( i dont blame you ) then just think of it as precursor tech to 2142 (a game that really deserves a sequel) like in that bf4 dlc and ignore the dead space branding. If you think of it like that its more or less fine. I do think that dice should give the option to just turn of custom skins though to eliminate this issue from the fans.

I know this is a bit of a switch up from the previous post. I still think that the moh skin is shit and that the dead space skins is meh

I'm sure its got nothing to do with EA trying to drive up their Deadspace remake sales.

Definitely no correlation

It’s not just whether or not your world has futuristic tech or not, it’s whether or not it fits the tone.

The engineer suit from dead space is a complete tonal shift(at least compared to launch) from the what was established to be a very modern set a year or two in the future.

It’s like suddenly introducing an automatic magazine fed rifle to a fantasy setting when there was at no point an established reason for why it would exist.

Also tbh it just looks like someone is cosplaying dead space guy. It’s like asking me to ignore the black noir skin in cod because it kinda looks like some black assassin suit someone would wear. No man that’s fuckin black noir from hit show, the boys, running around.

Tbh having an AK-47 forged by Dwemer in Skyrim would be amazing.

Oh no yeah that’s awesome I love guns in fantasy/medieval settings. I’m just saying that if it isn’t an established part of the universe and just dropped in randomly it would be confusing

Its out of place but its not too far fetched like the tech for the lazer gun canonically exits in the bf franchise. i do wonder if they will try and make it fit and how they will if they do.
